My journey through fitness
It was around May last year when I was casually talking to a friend and former model who inspired me to begin gymming to improve my fitness levels. Gym workouts and diets were something I had never followed my entire life mostly living an unhealthy lifestyle. I decided to join the Gold's gym close to my home and had my diet and workout plan charted by the professionals at the gym.
After my fitness assessment and a body composition analysis it was found that I had around 9 kgs excess fat from my ideal fat % of 14% and was lacking almost 15 kgs muscle from my ideal muscle mass levels. So very poor strength. I was initially put on 3 days cardio exercises alternating with 3 days muscle training exercises during the week where I trained two muscles each day. I followed my diet religiously which was high in protein and low in carbs and fat. To my surprise when my fitness assessment was performed 10 weeks after the start of the program I had lost 6 kgs fat and gained 5 kgs of muscle one of the fastest transformations in the gym. My core strength had significantly improved. I was able to lift 100% more weights than when I had started and I could remain in plank position for almost 7 minutes compared to a paltry 1 minute at the start of the program. My metabolic age came down to 27 as well. I was told that the speed of my results was due to my unique diet. My workouts were then changed to include more strength training with cardio exercises reducing. I am now training to build 8-10 kgs more muscle by training one muscle per day, 6 days a week to reach an athletic body.
Using my strong mathematical and scientific background I reverse engineered my transformation and that's when Transformation della Vita was born.
