How I learned to maintain my athletic weight while having my favorite food!

A generic advice given by everyone, including doctors, to folks with high cholesterol like me is “increase the intake of salads and fruits”. It is as generic as saying - drive your car more efficiently to get more mileage which doesn’t help. Similarly with foods, unless one gets to know the best combinations of fruits and salads suited to one’s unique body and health profile, the journey to a better health can be a long and aimless one.
That is where Mayur helped me understand my nutritional needs better, by carving out a customized diet on the basis of my health conditions. I am convinced it must not have been easy for him, given the several types of food I cannot digest, including any form of milk. He generously re-calibrated my diet thrice to get to that optimal mix of foods. And of course their quantities to the last gram.
Once I took to that mix, I started to find the joys of eating right. It reflected everywhere - in my mood, self-confidence and energy levels. There was little temptation to digress from the diet because I was never left feeling hungry.
I have been able to sustain an athletic weight for over 6 months now, while steadily improving upon a significant number of lipid parameters, and without having to compromise on my favorite food - rice. Today I eat more rice than ever before, guilt free!!
