How I won the Battle of the Bulge!

In the peak of youth and fitness during military service, I tilted the scales at 69 kgs. Then came in marriage, increased responsibilities on the work front and long periods of sedentary life (not because one did not want to exercise, but was not able to due to the restrictions in a cramped submarine atmosphere). The casualty was my weight which gradually inched up to 75 and then it yawned around this point. I was very active and maintained the weight around 75 for most part of my life in the Services. Then came in a change in career and I was now in the International Maritime sector. Without any doubt the food was very rich and good. Activity levels remained more or less the same and then began the Battle of the Bulge. A little leeway was but obvious and I was now in the range of 81-82 kgs.

Increased family responsibilities and demands took a further toll and I was not happy with my weight. So was born the resolve to get back to the trim days. The tool in this battle was increased exercise and lo and behold, I was running the half marathon circuits expecting and longing for the decline in weight. But that was a pipe dream. The more I exerted, the better I ate and the result was a 84 kgs on the scales! Obviously something was wrong in the way that the Battle of Bulge was being fought by me. Reflecting on this, I realised that the main culprit could be my diet. That is how I came in contact with Mayur from Transformation della Vita. His diet plans followed by me sincerely from mid-Feb to mid-May saw me gradually pull back to a healthy 73 kgs.

I am really thankful to Mayur for his perseverance and Big Brother ways in helping me reach this milestone. Presently I am on a maintenance diet and hope to stay on at 73 kgs.
