How I moved from illness to wellness!
I have been a health conscious person from a very early age. I used to maintain my weight by avoiding excess fatty foods, eating within limits and regular exercises in some form or other (brisk walking, swimming, cycling, yoga, etc.). However, as I gradually aged towards 45 years, I became slightly overweight (10% over my ideal weight), my blood pressure increased to borderline high and my LDL cholesterol readings were marginally higher than the higher limit while the HDL cholesterol lower than the lower limit. I started on a very mild blood pressure medication to keep it under the maximum recommended limit. I tried several ways in terms of diet and exercise to improve my cholesterol levels but to no success. I enrolled into Jindal Nature Cure center in Bangalore which helped with slight weight loss but somehow my LDL cholesterol didn’t improve.
When I came to know about the success of a friend in reducing weight and improving a lot of her health issues, my wife and I approached Mayur from Transformation della Vita for his help. My focus was on improving some of my health issues related to high blood pressure, high cholesterol, ankle pains and to weight loss to reach ideal levels. After an initial discussion with me on my health issues, Mayur suggested some blood tests to be completed to check on the key health parameters. Based on these, he came up with a diet plan that would not only help reduce my weight but also address my health issues. The diet plan suggested by him consisted of naturally available foods and some vitamin/mineral supplements. He also ensured that sufficient protein was included in the diet so that my muscle mass is not impacted and the weight reduction will only target reducing my body fat.
After I followed the diet for 3 weeks to achieve my targeted weight, I got my health parameters checked. I saw that after a long time, my LDL cholesterol went down significantly below the maximum value, my blood pressure went down by 10 points and I stopped my medication. The weight reduction also followed by a significant fat reduction. My waist size reduction was from 36” to 33”. My buttocks and thighs reduced and I felt great with an improved body shape when I looked in the mirror.
I have started feeling light and I have begun my exercises recently. I do a bit of yoga in the morning (the stretching and twisting is much easier now with a thinner body) and some walking (my ankle pain has reduced a bit now probably because of lower weight and improved muscle health). Also, I am now naturally inclined towards healthy foods and can easily ignore the temptations of fried foods. With this motivating success, I got myself enrolled into a maintenance diet with Mayur and I am waiting for the same to maintain my state of wellness in the coming years.
